Hi, I’m Amelia, born and raised in the U.S., and probably happiest when I’m in the kitchen — usually with music on and a mess I’ll regret cleaning up later.
I didn’t go to culinary school, and honestly, I never really planned to start a recipe website. Cooking just… grew on me. It started as something I did to unwind after work, then became a way to connect with people I care about. Somewhere along the way, I began writing things down. Mostly for myself, at first. Then friends started asking for recipes — not the kind you find in glossy cookbooks, but the ones that actually work on a Tuesday night when you’re tired and only have half the ingredients you thought you had.

What you’ll find here isn’t fancy or over-styled. I’m not chasing perfection. Sometimes I burn the toast. Sometimes I swap ingredients because I forgot to buy parsley — again. But the food still tastes good, and that’s what matters to me.
I try to keep things simple, but not boring. I like recipes that give you a little room to improvise — add more garlic if you want, leave something out if you don’t have it. I’ll tell you what I do, but I won’t pretend it’s the only way.
You won’t see a lot of trends here. No 12-step foam sauces or whatever’s blowing up on food TikTok this week. Just honest, home-cooked meals I actually make and eat.
If you’re someone who loves cooking — or even kind of likes it but wishes it felt easier — I think you’ll find something here. And if not, well, at least you’ll leave with an idea for dinner.
Thanks for being here. Let’s see what we can cook up.
